RMM & Liquidity Pools
The goal with the RMM (Realink Market Maker) is to give people the ability, for the first time in history, to directly buy and sell ownership in a house with the same experience as buying or selling a share of a stock.
Previously, users were only able to place Limit Orders, which were required to match with a counter-party before the transaction could be settled. Now, users can place Market Orders which settle instantly, without the need for a counter-party to match the order.
The PMM & liquidity pools provide the following benefits to investors:
Buy and sell tokens instantly using market orders, just like with stocks and crypto
Lend your property NFT (tokens) out and earn additional return
Lend your USDT or USDC against properties and earn additional return
Stake (Lend) Property Tokens
For the first time in history, you can now lend the Property Tokens you own and earn additional return. The maximum staking of property tokens is equal to 20% of a property’s circulating token supply in the pool, so it will be first come first serve. If a pool is already full, you can attempt a deposit in the future when someone else removes their property tokens from the pool. Users buying and selling using Market orders will also see slippage if they make a large order relative to the supply in the pool. This means that their order volume was so large that it will “move” the market-price from that single order. As a result, it’s important to be aware that you may not receive the same quoted price per token if your order is large enough to encounter slippage.
Liquidity Pool Tokens
Each pool has its own unique set of LP tokens, mapping to the two unique assets of each pool.
Property token X →← LP tokens for property X
USDC/USDT for property token X pool →← LP tokens for USDC/USDT for property token X pool
This means for every liquidity pool, there are four unique set of tokens. The tokens of one pool cannot be used to interact with another liquidity pool.
Be sure to not lose your LP tokens. Otherwise, you won’t be able to reclaim your deposited assets and there is unfortunately nothing we can do for you. You are not depositing assets with us, Instead, you are depositing the assets to a smart contract.
