# ibTokens

ibTokens stand for Interest-bearing tokens. Whenever users supply assets to a lending pool on EZ-FI, ibTokens are generated to keep track of users' lending position. Each asset within the pools has its own ibToken. ibTokens accrue value through interest rate while the amount of ibTokens held in your position stays the same. As the lending interest accrues, ibToken's value increases. Therefore, it results in a larger output fund received when users withdraw assets from the pool.
