# Tokenomics

Secura Money (SEMO) is the native token of the Secura Finance platform on arbitrum and provides value for liquidity providers, farmers, and token stakers. You can earn SEMO by using the Secura vaults.

### Token **Supply and Emission**

SEMO is mainly minted based on the profit generated through performance fees from Secura vaults. Reward APY is flexible depending on two factors: deposit amount and pool amount. 

* The total supply of SEMO is 100,000,000 tokens.
* Up to 20% of the performance fee will be used to buyback SEMO to form Protocol Owned Liquidity (POL).
* The rest of the performance fee, after protocol expenses are paid, is distributed as the native protocol token (SEMO) to staked users.

The emission rate of SEMO will significantly decrease over time and will last for two years.

In addition, locking SEMO also boosts the amount of SEMO earned by up to 100% for most of Secura's vaults and allows users to participate in the governance process of Secura.
